Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QRTracks (the “App”) handles information when you create, scan, save, or track QR codes.
Information stored on your device
QRTracks creates and scans QR codes on your device. Saved QR codes, preferences, and onboarding settings are stored locally on your device until you delete them or clear the App’s data. QRTracks does not upload ordinary QR code content or scanned QR code content to our servers.
The App requests camera access only to scan QR codes. Photo-library access is requested only when you choose an image for a QR design, select an image containing a QR code, or save a generated QR image. Those images are processed on your device.
Wi-Fi QR codes are not saved to the collection by default because they may contain a network password. If you explicitly choose to save one, it remains on your device.
Tracked QR links
The tracked-link feature is optional. When you create a tracked QR link, the destination URL and a randomly generated management key are sent to QRTracks’s server to create and manage that link. When somebody opens a tracked link, the service records the time of the scan, a one-way hash of the visitor’s IP address for unique-scan counting, and limited technical information such as user agent and referrer. The service then redirects the visitor to the destination URL.
This information is used only to operate link redirection and show scan statistics to the owner of the tracked QR link. Do not use tracked links to send sensitive personal information.
Advertising
The free version of QRTracks displays advertising through Google AdMob. Google may collect and process information such as IP address (which can indicate approximate location), ad and app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, subject to the choices and consent notices shown where required by law.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
QRTracks uses Google Analytics 4 through Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used and to improve its reliability and features. This service may collect app interactions and screen views, device and app information, an app-instance identifier, diagnostic information, and approximate location inferred from IP address. QRTracks does not send the contents of QR codes, scanned QR data, destination URLs, or tracked-link management keys to Google Analytics.
Google processes analytics data on our behalf under its applicable terms and privacy documentation. Where required by law, analytics collection is subject to the applicable consent and privacy controls. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
Purchases
QRTracks Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. QRTracks does not receive or store your payment-card details.
Data security and retention
Network communications used by the App are sent over HTTPS. Local QR data remains until you delete it or remove the App’s data. Tracked-link data is retained while the tracked link is active and may be retained for operational, security, and legal purposes after deactivation.
Your choices
- You can delete locally saved QR codes from the App or clear the App’s data in your device settings.
- You can choose not to use the optional tracked-link feature.
- You can manage advertising consent choices in the App’s advertising privacy settings where available.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our data practices. The current version will always be published at this address.
